Don't Let Other People Tell You Who or What You Are Once upon a time there was a boy who, having found a beautiful egg in an eagle's nest, took it, returned to his village and his father's farm and put it under a setting hen in the hen house. When the egg hatched, out came a baby eagle that grew up among the chicks, pecking his food like his companions. One day, while he was looking up into the sky, he saw an eagle gliding over the farm. He felt an "itch" in his wings and said to one of his companions, "Do I ever wish I could do that too." "Don't be a fool," answered the chick, "only eagles can fly that high." Ashamed of his desires the little eagle bowed his head and never again dared to question what he thought he was meant to do on this earth.
Imagine what would/could have happened if he had not allowed himself to be told what he could do and who he was by others. Just like the eagle he had watched that day, he would have become what he really was, an eagle.
